The Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) applies to businesses involved in the Construction Industry and engages subcontractors to perform work on their behalf. If this applies to your business you must register with HMRC as a contractor and deduct tax from payments to subcontractors if applicable.

NEST Pension

The law on workplace pensions has changed. Employers must now enrol eligible staff into a workplace pension scheme and pay contributions towards it. This is known as Auto Enrolment.  

Employers that do not comply will face enforcement action which can include fines and/or prosecution.
